Birding Rally Challenge in the jungle of Alto Mayo
The event birding "North Amazonian Birding Rally Challenge", today began June 11 in the Pomac Forest Historical Sanctuary

Participants must travel as many habitats within a geographic space and a limited time, which will in turn appreciate the biodiversity of Peru. During this time competitors will be able to see 955 birds to Amazon Nor along the route.
After exploring the protected natural areas located in the province of Ferreñafe competition, which runs until June 21, will continue in the wetlands of Eten (Ciudad Eten), then from San José de Moro, in the Region freedom, and continue in the regions of Cajamarca, Amazonas and San Martin. This tour will promote Route Nor Amazon as one of the best destinations for bird watching in Peru with the aim of promoting tourism and local development.
It is expected that competitors arrivarán the Alto Mayo on June 16, and the programmed path is Pomacochas, Alto Mayo, Aguas Verdes, Santa Elena, Tingana, Morro Calzada, Moyobamba and Tarapoto arrival, according to the schedule published in the website of this event.
Notably, the mentioned event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism -PROMPERU, and the NGO Inka Terra Association.
